ISRAELI MUSIC POWER COUPLE TO DAZZLE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA MUSIC LOVERS
Updated: Jan 31

On February 1 local music lovers will hear world renowned Israeli violin/piano duo
Vadim Gluzman and Angela Yoffe in Bonita Springs. Widely recognized as one of today’s
top performing violinists, Vadim Gluzman brings to life the glorious violinistic tradition
of the 19 th and 20 th centuries, and was featured as one of the top 30 violinists of today in Volume 2 of of Michel Molkhou’s publication Great Violinists of the 20th Century. Gluzman performs on the legendary 1690 “ex-Leopold Auer” Stradivari, on extended loan to him by the generosity of the Stradivari Society of Chicago.
This performance promises to be much more than a routine event. Having performed in the Naples area several times, Gluzman selected a program he believes will have special local appeal. Speaking of this program, he explains: “For my first concert of 2021, I have chosen a program that can be compared to the most extravagant and fashionable necklace, consisting of numerous pieces of different shapes and styles, yet united into one. Just like that necklace, the program of Suites and Rhapsodies presents an incredible variety – from deeply touching Ravel’s Kaddish and Kancheli’s Miniatures, the exuberance and emotion rooted in the Klezmer tradition of Bloch’s Baal Shem Suite, to the Gypsy virtuosic fireworks of Ravel’s Tzigane.”
This is certainly not to be missed!
Program:
Stravinsky: Suite Italienne
Bloch: Baal Shem Suite
