Great Concerts - Yes, But

SO MUCH MORE:

We love all the music programs in our community and actively support and collaborate with others for the benefit of all. With so many aspects of our program loved by our Patrons, it is hard to summarize what makes us special.

Quality in all aspects of our program

Every aspect of our program is managed by Milana Strezeva, our Artistic Director and Juilliard trained concert pianist. Assisted by co-founder Raniero Tazzi and an Advisory Board, with some of the most respected music educators in the United States, Milana identifies gifted performers for our concert series, exceptional teachers for our masterclasses, and outstanding scholars for our lecture series.

Exceptional concert performances

Live concerts by world-class artists on one of the finest concert pianos available (Fazioli F308). Program selections developed in consultation with our artistic director present both familiar and uncommon works to expand horizons and preserve rare piano literature.

Grandest of pianos

Our piano, Fazioli F308, is over 10 feet long, the largest concert grand piano currently in production. It’s not just about size; this piano has the sweetest tone you will ever hear. This piano provides everything needed to paint a beautiful musical picture - from deep and distinct growling bass, mids as clear as pure water, and sparkling crystalline highs. Once you hear it, you’ll understand!

Professionalism

Recognized with a Platinum Seal from Guidestar, the world’s largest publicly available source of information about non-profit organizations. We earned their highest rating based on a review of our fiscal responsibility, mission-focused concert and community programs, management details, and transparency.

Informative and interactive performances

An informative lecture or artist dialog at our concert programs will bring the music to life and enhance our patrons’ understanding and appreciation of the music and the artistic process. Our patrons are participants in the artistic process, and we all grow together.

High caliber masterclasses

Conducted by some of the finest music educators in the United States, masterclasses allow local students to hone their skills with the instruction not readily available locally. Our instructors have come from The Juilliard School, The Colburn Conservatory, Columbia University, and international performing concert pianists.

Engaging youth programs

We bring our world-class concert artists to local schools and centers to broaden students’ exposure to fine music and inspire them with direct interaction with our performing artists.

Stimulating senior events

Extending access to fine music to seniors confined to senior centers and special care facilities, our program brings visiting performing artists to seniors that may have difficulty traveling to a concert. In addition to a concert performance, seniors participate in an active discussion with the artist and our Artistic Director.

Accessible online programming

Expanding our community benefit and audience accessibility, we present online videos of past concerts, informative lectures, masterclasses, and regular interactive artist discussions. This last item has proven immensely popular during the COVID-19 event and helps address the sense of isolation that so many feel during this difficult time.

A genuine love for our community

Exemplified by our Artistic Director’s early establishment of a Coffee Time discussions, it allows Patrons to visit one another in weekly online group gatherings and address COVID-19 distancing issues. This online program maintains our musical family, reduces isolation, and includes direct dialog with many of our past artists to enrich our local connection to our performing artists.
